Food Conversations

Access to food support in the Borders.

'Food Conversations' hosts SBC officers, partner and local organisations to discuss, quarterly, the current issues on food insecurity, what is happening nationally and locally, and what we can do, in the Borders, to support people better.

A number of organisations and projects exist across the Borders, here to support those experiencing food insecurity. Innovative community initiatives such as communal fridges and pantries, shared meals and community gardens are helping to provide an invaluable lifeline to people struggling to keep their head above water.

Use the map below to find details of food projects in your local area. Please note that opening days or times are subject to change. Where a link to a website has been included in the listing, please check for most up to date details of how and when outlets can be accessed.
