2892 Miles To Go is a place-based educational program supported by the National Geographic Society focused on intergenerational collaboration in order to illuminate unknown or unacknowledged stories around the environmental, social, and cultural issues impacting local communities across the United States. 2892 leverages advanced geospatial storytelling and analysis tools, such as ArcGIS StoryMaps, and MapMaker functions, to engage young people in a place-based geographic inquiry process. This process culminates in the creation of digital resources that represent the often unheard voices and experiences of local youth, community leaders, storytellers, and educators.
