The Story Maps Gallery contains some of the best examples of storytelling with maps we've been able to find, but we know there are others out there. If you think a story map you have made is really compelling, and would spark the creative juices for other story map authors, we encourage you to fill out the form on this page. Your story map could be added into the Gallery, included in one of our Story Map Collections, or featured on our home page!
Don't like forms? You can also submit your story map to the Gallery by going to the My Stories section of this website. In My Stories find the story map you want to submit, and then click the Gallery tab underneath it. My Stories lists the hosted story maps you created. If you want to submit a story map that someone else created, or you created your story map by downloading our app source code and hosting it yourself, you have to use the form on this page.
Getting your story into the Gallery or a Story Map Collection does not promote your story to the intended audience you created it for. Gallery submission isn't a substitute for promoting your story map yourself to your target audience. That's up to you!
If we don't select your story for the Gallery or a Story Map Collection, it doesn't mean we don't like it! We only pick a small number of stories every month. We especially look for ones that use fresh design approaches or cover new subjects that other authors could emulate. In addition to stories that are submitted to us, we also add great stories to the Gallery and to Collections that we see being promoted publicly by the authors, such as on Twitter.
In order to be considered, your story map must adhere to the following:
