About Texas A&M University
Texas A&M University (TAMU) was established in 1876. It is located in College Station, Texas, which is a 90-minute drive northwest of Houston, Texas. Approximately 70,000 students are currently attending the University's main campus, while thousands of other students are attending the various satellite schools that are mostly located around the State of Texas. There is also one in the nation of Qatar. The main campus offers 133 undergraduate degrees, 175 master's degree, 92 doctoral degrees, and five professional degree programs. The mascot of TAMU is Reveille, the Border Collie.
