Twin Cities Soundscape Tour

All soundscapes are comprised of three components:

1. Anthrophony- the sounds deriving from individual human activities and the built environment.
2. Biophony- the sounds originating from biological organisms.
3. Geophony- naturally occurring geophysical sounds (e.g., rain, wind, etc.).

Soundscape Ecology studies each of these three compositional inputs across time and space, how they interact with one another and how the resulting soundscapes can be identified with a specific geographical setting.
