Sewer Extension South - Project Phasing
The Comox Valley Regional District acknowledges the areas shown on these maps is the unceded traditional territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of this land.
The City of Courtenay, Town of Comox, K’ómoks First Nation and the Department of National Defense are part of the regional sewer service.
This system includes a conveyance line from the Courtenay Pump Station to the Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Centre, where wastewater is treated before it is safely discharged into the Salish Sea.
The Sewer Extension South Project will construct a new sewer pipe connecting to the regional system that will move wastewater from homes and businesses in Royston, Union Bay and future development lands, including K’ómoks First Nation Southlands which includes K’ómoks Fee-Simple and intended Treaty Settlement Lands.
This is a large project that will be completed in phases.
