Music Row, Nashville Tennessee

The place to be

Nashville and all it's surrounded by

This is a story map on the amazing spots you'll find just by walking around in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nashville is the spot to be. While it offers an incredible experience for country music fans, it has something to offer for everyone.

Just by talking a walk, you'll be able to find so many cool spots. Murals, cool architecture and great people fill the city and make it so welcoming.

I added a vintage like filter and raised the contrast so objects like the car stood out. I wanted it to feel like a rainy day so I added a fade as well.

I changed the tones in this picture to accentuate the green and blue.

I put up the contrast and turned the picture black and white. I added a vignette so the 1023 is the main focus.

I put down the exposure, put up the clarity and contrast, and made the picture black and white. I find this makes the architecture pop out.

According to the article, this photo is Instagrammable. While there are a variety of things going on in the background, one thing really catches your attention and that is the "Open" sign. According to the article, neon signs get bonus points because they add emphasis onto something in the photograph, as we see in this picture. The photo also has an aesthetic filter on it, tying all of the colors together and making it cohesive. Neon signs and lights are eye catching on their own, but adding a hue like filter brings it all together which makes this photo a big success.

This photo is successful because like the article states, "buildings take advantage of naturally beautiful surroundings is an extension of architects' desire to connect their building to its environment." The buildings fill the space yet the main focus comes from the beautiful sunset, which it's where your eyes fall on. This is a type of picture where it’s in the moment and you can't fake it. Being a natural shot makes this more beautiful. While this picture could do with some cropping and editing, the architecture is beautiful and makes this an Instagrammable space.

Again, we have a phot made successful due to the neon lights surrounding it. Not only do the lights make this photo successful, but the people do too. The movement in this picture and the lights give an urban feel, and urban spots are always very popular in the media. The lights capture your attention but so do the people; Neither one is outshined. This photo could also use editing which would make the colors pop and more eye catching, but is also Instagrammable as is. Recently, filters have been fading and raw images are in, so this definitely works for the all-natural instagram feed.

Are we being tracked?

An article on social media explains the way sites track us and collect our data. I can't be the only one freaked out by that, right? They essentially have access to our information, and we can't do anything about it. It makes sense now why many of the ads on my feed are items I've looked up or spoken to my friends about. This creeps me out because if these companies are paying money to get this information, what other things should we be worried about?

My restaurant is The Stillery. The Stillery has a variety of items on its menu. Food ranges from appetizers like jalapeno rangoon to cast iron wings. Some entree options are mac and cheese, hot chicken tenders, many sandwich options, and salads. This is a great restaurant for any craving because they don’t just sell lunch and dinner, they also serve brunch. A lot of the food on the menu seems to be for a quick, sit and eat meal. The prices are average, and even cheap to some people. Can you beat a $20 steak sandwich? The restaurant has a pub-like feel, and the target audience seems to be 21+ food and music lovers, considering a large portion of their menu and feed is cocktails and live music. I will use geotags to help create business and customers by partnering with influencers. I will let the influencers come to my restaurant and offer them a free meal for a post on their feed of my food using a geotag. This creates a lot of attention around my restaurant and will bring in customers. Influencers are taking over the world, and this is the best option for business nowadays. I would also ask them to use hashtags such as #Nashville #Musicrow #thestillerymidtown and #livemusicandgoodfood. I will incentivise customers to use my geotag by offering a second cocktail for free if they post a picture and show me. This way I will not lose profit, but earn it.
