Why is GIS important?

One of the primary advantages of the GIS is its ability to analyze complex spatical data.

Possibly the most important component of GIS is the data. Geographic data can be used to determine a veriety of characteristics of a population.

In a map project, GIS sorts all these different types of data by there common geography.

What do you do throught the day as a GIS member:

What do GIS members do throughout the day is they get data collection, management, analysis, decision making, and application development. They also create things, analyze,  map all types of data, attribute information, and automate.
