Discover the history

The Royal Australian Navy Memorial is in the form of Gallipoli rosemary garden beds in the shape of an anchor.

The memorial commemorates the Naval personnel from the Port Pirie district who lost their lives during World War 2 and those who lost their lives in the shelling of HMAS Pirie off New Guinea in 1943.

The dedication and unveiling was held on January 26th, 1985.
