The Parks Department operates the city's recreation and aquatic programs along with maintaining 12 parks comprised of 379.9 acres.

Park Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight Friday - Sunday Mission Statement: The mission of the City of Seguin Parks & Recreation Department is to foster community participation and improve the quality of life for citizens of all ages, by providing safe recreational facilities and programs, leisure time opportunities, aquatics, and park development that will enhance the health, happiness and morale of the citizens.

Max Starcke - Pecan Bottom
227 acre park located along the scenic Guadalupe River. The park property was a pecan orchard prior to the park's dedication in 1938. The park offers a variety of recreational activities that include a regulation 18-hole golf course, Wave Pool, natural fishing area, paddling trail, walking trail (0.8 miles), tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. For children, there is a Kids Kingdom Playscape and the Little League baseball-softball complex. Pavilion and picnic areas are available throughout the park.
