Upcoming Projects
See maps below to understand where these projects are taking place.

1. Water Ditch Re-Routing
Existing storm drain pipes and the insufficiently sized ditch are failing at controlling water, especially during times of high volume runoff. The County's efforts to re-route this ditch will mitigate flood risk for residential properties while enhancing the area's riparian ecosystem.
The map shows the existing ditch route (purple) and the section that will be re-routed (blue). The re-routed section will have a nice meander to the stream, which will help the riparian ecosystem.
2. Traffic Islands + Road Widening
Crews will add three traffic islands along W. Old Ranch Road and add 5-foot-wide shoulders to each side, enhancing neighborhood safety for bikers and pedestrians.

The above photo shows what the traffic island is. There will not be trees planted in the traffic islands on W. Old Ranch Road.
ORANGE: Approximate location where traffic islands will be placed. Map is not to scale. BLACK: area where road widening will take place
3. Trail Improvements
A new section of 10-foot-wide asphalt trail will be laid from North Old Ranch Road to West Old Ranch Road and help recreators safely connect with the section of Old Ranch Road across from Willow Creek Park.
This map shows the planned trail improvements along Old Ranch Road.
4. Power Lines
This map shows where the power line undergrounding will take place. This will increase electricity reliability during extreme weather. *What you see below is not to scale or showing exactly where construction will happen, but the general area in which the power lines will be moved underground.
