Another reason for the importance of Asia to global well-being, arises from its reach around the world.

East Asia is known for their cuisine that have traveled across the world and are very delicious cuisine. We can define Cuisine as a style of cooking and tradition associated with a specific and unique culture. Asia is listed to be the largest continent in the world and also shelters many cultures and cuisines. Some of the major regional cuisines are East Asian, Southeast Asian, South Asian, Central Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. Many cuisines contain ingredients like Rice, Ginger, Garlic, Tofu, Chilies, Dried Onions, Soy and Sesame seeds are used in almost all Asian foods. Majority of the cuisines are based off of cooking practices like steaming and stir frying which are common in every Asian restaurant. Rice is a base main staple ingredient in every Asian food; Different varieties are popular in various regions. Basmati is a popular rice variety in subcontinents while long grain rice is popular in China and short grain in Japan and Korea. Curry dishes with its origin in South Asian countries are also common in Southern, Western and Southeastern regions. These are Yogurt based soup with meat or vegetables as optional ingredients. East Asian Cuisine have similar cooking skills within these cultures: Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian and Taiwanese Cuisines are collectively known as East Asian Cuisine. Being one of the most populated regions of the world East Asia has many regional cuisines. Rice, Noodles, Soybeans, and Seafood are some of the staple East Asian foods.

Japanese chopsticks for every day use are tapered at only the end used to grasp the food, and can be found in vast variety. At the beginning of the seventeenth century the people of Wakasa (an area along the Japan Sea coast) began to apply lacquer to chopsticks. This made them more slippery, but longer lasting. Lacquered chopsticks from Wakasa are among the most traditional styles. Along with the amazing cuisines each culture within the Asian culture has they have more fascinating things to their culture. Asian cuisines mainly use chopsticks to eat the cuisine in a newly fashioned way. Chopsticks have been around for a while due to the Asian culture expanding the knowledge and expressing their culture. There is an old Chinese custom making chopsticks part of a girl's dowry, since the pronunciation of kuaizi is similar to the words for "quick" and "son". Chopsticks were invented and provided by Japanese Chopsticks in the early history. Chopsticks provided a bridge between the human and the divine. Rather than for taking ordinary meals, they were used, at first, for sharing food with the gods. It was believed that when a pair of chopsticks was offered to a deity, the chopsticks became inhabited by that deity. They are held in the dominant hand, secured by fingers, and wielded as extensions of the hand, to pick up small pieces of food. First used by the Chinesechopsticks later spread to other East Asian cultural sphere countries including Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.

In Asia, since China and other political entities joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 1996-2001, the region has become the frontier of food production and trade, and the emerging regional food regime has facilitated the global impact of the Asian food system
