Project Information

The commercial district between Royer and Sale Avenues was selected for study as it has the potential to have more of a Main Street feel to support local businesses. This project’s purpose is to Re-Imagine Ventura Boulevard as a more comfortable place for neighborhood residents to shop, stroll and gather.

Concept Views

The images below are provided to help visualize potential changes (click on the arrow to the right of an image to shift between views, of vision and existing conditions). These are only initial concepts and depict prototypes for where the sidewalks are 10’ and 20’ wide, respectively. We need your feedback to enhance this row of mostly small businesses in ways in which local community members can feel it expresses more of a distinct character, as a place to call their own.
