About the Story Map

The first map I created for this Story Map was the map showing where Wisconsins exports went. I outlined the borders of each country then outlined Wisconsin, showing how far away Wisconsin was from those countries. For my next map, I showed where five of the major export companies in Wisconsin were. To do this, I put a mark on all of the five points I wanted to show on the map. Finally, there was the Ports of Wisconsin map. For this, I located each of the ports I wanted to highlight and put marks on them. The pictures of the food that I took myself were pretty easy since my mom keeps a pretty stocked kitchen! The photos of the lake and the Fox River were easy as well since I like in a place right by them. In fourth grade I saw a map of which states lead in the production of dairy, industrial machinery, and other things. This lead me to ask myself, what are all the things that Wisconsin exports? And just like that, this story map was born!
