Agricultural Regions
This is a tour of all the agricultural regions

Subsistence agriculture
Subsistence agriculture is agriculture designed primarily to provide food for direct consumption by the farmer and the farmer's family. Subsistence agriculture mainly takes place in Sub-Saharan Africa/ rural areas.

Shifting cultivation
Shifting cultivation is a form of subsistence agriculture in which people shift activity from one field to another: each field is used for crops for a relatively few years and left fallow for a relatively long period of time. Shifting cultivation takes place in the tropical rain forests of South America, Central and West Africa, and Southwest Asia. (the location of the picture is South America)

Pastoral nomadism
Pastoral nomadism is a form of subsistence agriculture based on herding domesticated animals. Pastoral nomadism has also adapted to dry climates, where planting crops is hardly even possible. Pastoral nomads practically live in Central and Southwest Asia and North Africa.

Mediterranean agriculture
Mediterranean agriculture is agriculture that is practiced in areas with a Mediterranean climate. Is it also another form of specialized agriculture that is known for producing grapes, olives, and figs. These crops are required a year-round climate with plenty of summer sunshine. Mediterranean agriculture takes place in many places including California.

Ranching
Ranching is a form of commercial agriculture in which livestock graze over an extensive area. Ranching is prevalent in South America on the pampas of Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand, and South Africa. (IDK if I put the correct location on the map)

Commercial gardening
Commercial gardening is agriculture undertaken primarily to generate products for sale off the farm. Commercial gardening is used mostly in places that produce citrus, which would be, Arizona, California, and Florida. (on the map Florida is the location I chose)

Aquaculture
Aquaculture or aquafarming is the cultivation of seafood under controlled conditions. Aquafarming is the use of river segments or artificial bodies of water such as ponds for the raising and harvesting of food products including fish, shellfish, and seaweed. Aquaculture is found in Australia, China, Japan, Italy, and Hawaii. It originally began in New York and Massachusetts. (The location I chose for the map was Australia)

Rice production
Rice production is the amount of rice paddy produced in a given country each calendar year. Rice production can be found in China.

Corn production
Corn production is apart of Grain farming. Corn production is the amount of corn that is being produced in a given time. Grain farming is a specialized agricultural activity where farmers grow one crop corn, wheat, or rice for commercial markets. Corn production is found in Illinois.

Wheat production
Wheat production is the amount of wheat that is produced a year or in any period of time. Wheat production is also apart of Grain farming which is a specialized agricultural activity where farmers grow one crop corn, wheat, or rice for commercial markets. China is the leading wheat-producing country in the world, with India, Russia, U.S., France, Australia, Canada, Pakistan, Ukraine, and Germany rounding out the Top 10. (I chose India since I chose China for rice production).
