Esri's virtual Run/Walk

The 2020 Esri User Conference has been extraordinary in many ways—not least among them the fact that we gathered virtually rather than convening in San Diego.

A perennially popular User Conference event is the 5K Walk/Run, normally held along the harbor near the San Diego Convention Center. In 2020 we walked and ran once more, but this time our start and finish lines were scattered across the globe. Thanks to the wonders of GPS, ArcGIS, and Esri's QuickCapture app, we were able to share our experiences and integrate them into a  single resource .

Perusing all the walks and runs would take many hours. So we gathered a few of the more extraordinary runs, along with a somewhat random sampling of tracks from distant corners of the world. Below you'll find the sampling, complete with screen grabs of the routes, snapshots taken by runners and walkers, and buttons linking to fully interactive maps of each route.
