Zoning Map - This map is used to identify the zoning for property within the Town of White City. Simply enter an address in the search bar and the screen will zoom to the property. The associated zoning regulations can be found in the Town’s Zoning Bylaw available in the DocumentCenter.
ew Development Map - This map is used to track new development within the Town of White City. Simply click on names in the legend to reveal information about a development site.
Future Land Use - This map is used to graphically depict a general land development pattern that seeks to achieve the goals of the Town's Future Land Use Plan. Simply enter your address in the search bar and the screen will zoom to the property.
Transportation Map - This map showcases White City and area current transportation network and access nodes as well as the potential transportation connections required to sustain the future community.
Currently, there are three principle north-south links in the area: Great Plains Industrial Drive; Emerald Park Road, and White City Drive. Most traffic typically travels to and from the north and is heavily dependent on these north-south roads. Betteridge Road will be a key component of the plan area as it will serve as the primary east-west arterial for development. Betteridge Road and its future connections will provide access to the Town Centre, the Multi-Use Recreational Facility, the Potential High School and the developments of Royal Park and Picasso Pathways.
Home Based Business Map - This map is used to show the location of all home based businesses within the Town of White City. Businesses operating from a residence require a Town of White City Home Based Business License.
The standards for home based businesses are intended to seek a balance between a quiet, safe and aesthetic residential environment and the aspirations of home based entrepreneurs.
White City's Urban Forest Map - This map is used to show the location of all municipally owned trees. The inventory provides a database consisting of information (e.g. tree location, diameter, health condition, etc.) for all the trees owned by the municipality. In this view all trees are classified based on each tree diametre measured at breast height (cm). The tree inventory functions as a tool to assess the health of the forest and map out the condition of existing trees as well as to track changes over time following inventory updates. Simply click in one of the tree icons to see an overview of the type of tree, species and condition.
