My Map

Portland Map
Avg_price At the properties function, first I picked a style for the maps. I chose the one the same as my last assignment, which is “Counts and Amounts (color)” because I feel that it looks pretty and easy to look at compared to others. I changed the color from blue to pink. I chose this color because it’s nearly in full bloom of Sakura in Japan. As for the symbol style, I add a black outline to the map with a 1 px outline width. As for classes, I chose 5 instead of 3 because I wanted to see the difference in colors within the map. Moving on to the effects, I did turn on the button for the drop shadow with the width set to 1. After adding it, I feel that It makes the map have more dimensions. Also, turn on the Sepia width set to 15, I turn it on and adjust it to 15 because I like that color and shade more than the normal one. My neighborhood is Sumida, as shown on my map it is a 3rd class with an 18,471.96 average price.
Assignment #11
I have made changes to the colors from pink to blue because I feel that these colors make the map look more easy to look at and I like blue as well. Second, I changed the outline of the map, from black to white. I feel like white makes the map look more clear and smooth. Lastly is the drop-down shadow, in the effects bottom I choose a strong drop shadow, I want the shadow of the map to become stronger. I also added a label of the price on the map as well. I don’t know which kind of edits to make on my map because I feel like this is what I think looks nice already.
Avg_review At the properties function, first I picked a style for the maps. I chose the same style as what I did to Avg_price which is “Counts and Amounts (color)”. I think this is the best option! I changed the colors, different from Avg_price, but in the same tone, with the same outline width which is 1 px but in grey color. Additionally, I changed the outline pattern to the 3rd style at the pattern drop-down menu, I chose that because I wanted to make it look different. I set the number of classes to 5, the same as Avg_price, and the varieties of colors caught my eye. Since I like the drop shadow, I decided to add it to this map as well, width set to 1.
Assignment #11
I kept the same colors for this map because this color is just fine. However, I changed the outline color from grey to black because I feel that the black one is a more clear line of separation between each city. As well as the line patterns, I make it normal not the dot cut line versions. I also added the strong drop-down shallow for this map as it makes the map look more stand out. I added the label of the review, to let see how much review is it without clicking the cities.
