The Virtual Tour of the Ag Quad and More

We apologize that we cannot provide the in-person experience of CALS, in light of the serious crisis that has gripped not only our nation but the world.

This pandemic is affecting everyone differently, and we are doing our best to share our love and passion for Cornell and CALS with you, no matter where in the world you are.


So for the first time, we would like to formally welcome you to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences' (CALS) Virtual Tour! This guided tour will take you through the buildings on campus that represent CALS - the classrooms, study spaces, research labs, and eateries.

Snee Hall

Our first stop on the tour and the closest building to Collegetown is Snee Hall. Located on the Engineering Quad, it is the home of the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, a mineral museum, and even mastodon fossils!

Gates Hall

Overlooking the baseball field, Gates Hall is home to the Computing and Information Science programs. With its colorful and modern design, you will definitely feel inspired working here.

Stimson Hall

Located in the center of campus, Stimson Hall houses the Office of Undergraduate Biology. The basement is home to the Language Labs and is a vibrant and exciting place to study!

Bailey Hall

Bailey Hall is the largest lecture hall on campus, holding approximately 1,200 students. The infamous Introduction to Oceanography class is conducted here, and is considered a must-take class by Aggies.

Savage Hall

The Division of Nutritional Sciences calls Savage Hall home. The options are endless here with classes focused on dietetics, medical school, nursing, physical therapy, and more!

Computing and Communications Center

Welcome to the Ag Quad! The CCC hosts a variety of student services, one of them being the Learning Strategies Center. Here, you can find options for tutoring, study groups, or academic accommodations so that you can perform your best!

Roberts Hall

Roberts Hall is the go-to place for all questions about CALS. Some of the offices found in Roberts Hall include The Office of the CALS Dean and The Office of Academic Programs; which also includes The Office of Admissions and The Office of Student Services.

Kennedy Hall

Kennedy Hall has it all! It houses the Department of Landscape Architecture and a collaborative workspace for entrepreneurs known as the eHub. It even boasts two eateries - Bus Stop Bagels and Trillium, making it a very popular breakfast and lunch spot.

Corson-Mudd Hall

Corson Hall hosts the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, while the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior calls Mudd Hall home. Located right across from the Ag Quad, this conjoined building is a great place to study and soak up the sunlight.

Comstock Hall

Comstock Hall is home to the Entomology Department and the Department of Statistics and Data Science. Every April, the building hosts Insectapalooza, an eye-catching insect fair!

Biotechnology Building

The Biotechnology Building is one of Cornell's largest research buildings. The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is housed here.

Weill Hall

Weill Hall hosts the Department of Computational Biology. This modern building is full of windows, making it a great place to sit and study all year round.

Liberty-Hyde Bailey Conservatory

If you want to escape the harsh Ithaca winters, visit the greenhouse to explore a stunning array of flowers and plants!

Plant Sciences Building

The Plant Sciences Building hosts the School of Integrative Plant Sciences. It is the most iconic building on the Ag Quad, covered in vines and fronted by a beautiful garden.

Warren Hall

With a newly renovated interior and easy access to Mann Library, Warren is a prime study spot for Aggies. It is also home to the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, and soon-to be-home of the Department of Global Development.

Mann Library

With an abundance of study spaces, Mann Library is the epicenter of the Ag Quad. The fourth floor is home to the Department of Communications, while the 24-hour lobby boasts one of the best lunch spots on campus, Manndible's Cafe.

Fernow Hall

Surrounded by trees and with prime access to Beebe Lake trails, the Department of Natural Resources is right at home in Fernow Hall.

Bradfield Hall

Bradfield Hall is the tallest building on campus and Tompkins County! The first ten floors are dedicated to plant breeding and soil ecology research, while the eleventh floor hosts the Atmospheric Science major, and has stunning views of Cayuga Lake.

Riley-Robb Hall

With a glorious view of Alumni Fields, Riley-Robb hosts the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering.

Wing Hall

This beautiful building is home to the Department of Microbiology, one of the only programs in the country which is dedicated to microscopic life!

Stocking Hall

The Department of Food Sciences really shines here, with the Dairy Bar being Cornellians favorite homemade ice cream spot!

Morrison Hall

The Department of Animal Science puts their best "hoof" forward at Morrison Hall. With classrooms equipped to hold livestock, you are sure to be entertained here.
