Where should we go?

-- an escape route for people in Hong Kong during future wars.

Introduction

Due to the Russo-Ukrainian War, and the rising tension between China and the US, we realized that wars and politics are very close to us.

The first world war was said to be 'the war to end all wars', but it was not that.

To be better prepared for future wars, this escape route can help us hide and survive, fortunately, in the coming world war -- if it happens.

Goals and objectives

ww3

Our aim is to minimize the harm and reduce the lives taken from potentially a war.

We believe we could utilise the pre-existed properties and line around hong kong to combat against war. The detailed analysis of the map are used for countering the uncertainty.

The map shows different facilities including the locations of hospitals, police stations, transportation and infrastructures, and underground facilities, with the population density of the districts and journey time. This map provides all-rounded routes ensuring safety, places noted with dangerous symbols are not suggested to hide.

How to protect yourself and others

It is advisable to steer clear of large gatherings or crowded places as they increase the likelihood of being singled out or victimized by potential threats. Being in a crowd can make it harder to keep track of your surroundings and easier for someone to approach you unnoticed. Therefore, it is important to stay vigilant and avoid situations where you could become an easy target.

In a war, it's important to avoid military targets and significant buildings, which may be heavily fortified and targeted by opposing forces. Staying informed and following guidelines from authorities can help minimize the risk of harm and legal consequences. By taking precautions, you can reduce the impact of the conflict on your life and well-being.

It's important to avoid standing out and drawing unwanted attention to yourself. Dressing in plain clothes and avoiding any behavior that may be perceived as suspicious or provocative can help reduce the risk of being targeted by opposing forces or mistaken for a combatant or spy.

Access to medical care may be limited or non-existent in certain situations. Knowing basic first aid skills, such as performing CPR, can be essential in saving lives and minimizing the impact of injuries. Additionally, having a basic understanding of wound care, treating shock, and other first aid techniques can be invaluable in emergency situations where medical help is not readily available.

It's essential to have a communication plan with family members, including pre-arranged meeting places and alternative methods of communication. This plan can help reduce anxiety, ensure everyone's safety, and keep you informed about the latest developments. Regularly review and update the plan to stay prepared.

In a war, having emergency supplies such as non-perishable food items, water, first aid kits, and necessary medications is crucial for survival. Regularly checking and replenishing these supplies and having a plan for accessing additional resources can help ensure preparedness.

In crucial time, staying calm and alert is important. Pay attention to your surroundings, stay informed, and be prepared to take action if needed. Having a plan in place for different scenarios can also help ensure preparedness and reduce anxiety during times of crisis.

Helping others can increase the chances of survival and build community. This can include providing first aid, sharing emergency supplies, or helping to search for a safe place to hide. However, only offer help if it can be done safely and effectively.

Being familiar with the locations of different facilities in your district can help you prepare for necessary and emergency needs. Knowing where hospitals, food distribution centres, and emergency shelters are located can increase your chances of survival and reduce the impact of the war on your life and well-being.
