How television is reshaping culture in america
"Television has reshaped america in many ways such as race. gender, class"

T.V
Television has reshaped many cultures around the world, especially America. Television influences many individuals by race, gender and class. It reshaped many cultures by stereotypes. At first, the majority of the people who appeared on American programs were Caucasian. Television presented a normal life for Caucasians which presented as news, sports, advertisements and entertainment. When racism in television decreased, minorities became less common on television. They began casting actors of the correct races, for example casting a native person to play a native role as opposed to a Caucasian playing the same character.
Why is television reshaping the world?
Television first started off excluding the minorities, then as slavery and segregation ended, the use of minorities as actors became normal. Still to this day, there Caucasians that are played on television more than the minorities. This is including all other races being able to play every role. Television has always presented most characters as upper middle class and presenting the poor was always much more rare. It portrays more stereotypes than what is actually happening in the world. They present parents as equals and women smarter than men. Television is always spreading the juice of something new. 1 out of 2 American families spend 6-9 hours a day per household, that’s at least half of america.

How is this affecting america?
Television is at the top of the class which can influence others. It has replaced typical human interactions and education such as face to face conversations with others as a way of getting information. People today are more likely to turn to the television as an educational source for education. Most world issues will be broadcast on television to share the information to influence or attract viewers. By doing this television can become an addiction mentally, it may not seem like it’s an addiction but the audience always comes back to be updated. Once shown on television, viewers will be influenced and tend to believe what they are watching is true.
How tv is reshaping
Statement: Television will never disappear, the only thing is that it keeps evolving. When television first came out, they excluded minorities and only played Caucasians. As time passed, the evolution of humanity evolves and humanity begins to expect other cultures.
