Trees

Did you know that trees produce oxygen? Many people cut down trees everyday. We need to cut down trees accasionally, but we shouldn't cut down trees where there isn't a lot. Because of a drought in California, the drought almost killed 150 million trees. More then 157 million trees are cut down right now in California. It is not just us killing the trees, it´s the trees itself dying. That makes it worse for us. Think twice when cutting down a tree next time.

Air Quality

San Joaquin has one of the worts air qualitys. Many things create air pollution that we use each day like woodburning stoves, wood burning fireplaces, irragation pumps, tractors, etc. This can ause many health problems such as asthma. In December of 2018, there was this website created that would tell you when you were allowed to burn wood in your fireplace to better the Ozone. (it is still up today.) Since 1992, the San Joaquin county has been thinking, and thought of, ways to help this problem from air. San Joaquin has been given a name for this, The Armpit because of the way we gather the smoke and pollution from other places. Because of the poor air quality, bad health conditions happen like: lung cancer, heart attack, stroke, etc.

Water

Algae infested water is dangerous! Algal water can be very dangerous to living things. Seeing water with Algae is very easy to spot. It may have clumps, streaks of color that look like paint, or foamy. But only by sceintific studies, it can be said as HAB. (Harmful Algal Bloom) Depending on the person, The symptons can be very different. Symptom List: ear, eye, nose, irratation and headache, seizures, diareah, vomiting, liver and kidney damage. If these symptons occur to you then take a shower immediately.
