On February 4th and 5th, NWS Midland/Odessa, TX experienced their fourth largest snowfall since record keeping began in 1930. Precipitation initially fell as rain and sleet on the afternoon of February 4th before transitioning to heavy snow. Snowfall amounts accumulated to 7.9 inches over the course of the event.
