This is the 23-year long story of Antonia's journey to College and how she ended up in her major (the summed up version)

Antonia Fernanda Lopez Castro was born in Santiago, Chile
The beginning of Antonia's educational journey!
Antonia went to school in Santiago until she was 9 years old.
A sudden move to the USA?
At the age of 9, Antonia and her mom had to move to Tucson, Arizona.

The begging of Antonia's educational journey PT. 2! (The US Version)

Antonia began her US educational journey at Copper Creek Elementary School where she had to learn how to speak English. The only class she didn't need to know English for was her math class, which she began enjoying.
... and she moves on to Middle School

Antonia went to Orange Grove Middle School, where she got to ride on a school bus for the first time. This is where she took her first Science classes that were both difficult and exciting.
... and she moves on to High School
Antonia went to Catalina Foothills High School, where she began to realize she actually loved all all of her science classes because they challenged her! And she also realized she had began strongly disliking math.
Graduation Time!
Graduation came after a quick 4 years! Her family was able to visit Tucson, AZ for her graduation, and it was a great way to end High School.

The beggining of Antonia's journey at the University of Arizona
Antonia began her freshmen year at the University of Arizona as an undecided student, still unsure of where she wanted to end up in the future.

Finally choosing a major
After months and months and more months of not knowing what to choose, Antonia took a Geography class where she got to learn more about GIS. This was finally the moment she realized what she wanted to major in.

Where is Antonia today?
Graduation is just a couple of weeks away! She will be a college graduate as of May 2024, and she will have a Bachelor's Degree in Geography with concentration in GIS.
