These COVID-19 maps were created by Peter J. Geraci with the assistance of John Canar and Michael Cailas. It is part of the educational tasks in the Public Health Geographic Information Systems (PHGIS) Program at the UIC School of Public Health, Health Policy and Administration Division, HPA 455 Geographic Information Systems Integrative Project online course. The primary objective of this class is to have our students demonstrate their level of skills in applying database theories and GIS techniques to visualize and explore a public health issue such as the Covid-19 Pandemic.
