Floridan Aquifer and its Impact on The Community

The Floridan Aquifer is a body of water that is underground and starts at southern South Carolina and goes through parts of states like Georgia, Alabama, and all of Florida. The Floridan aquifer has 2 special types in the state of Florida
- The sand and gravel is characterized by it's very good quality of water, it's found in the western panhandle and is a major source of water for the area.
- The 2nd layer is the Biscayne aquifer system it is found in south Florida and is the only source of drinking water in the area it is characterized by it being made of limestone and sand and it's very permeable.
