The Evacuation of Boston
Why are some key conflicts highlighted while others are avoided?

By the start of 1776, men who enlisted into Washington's army were growing tired of serving. When they joined, they thought that defending themselves against Britain would be a quick and easy task. When soldiers started realizing this, they began to leave once their enlistments expired.

To counter these losses, a war council suggested that Washington call in additional men, numbering ~7300, to prepare for an attack that he had been planning. Unfortunately, Washington lacked the supplies, most notably gunpowder, for 17,000 men, so it was instead recommended that he take Dorchester Heights.
