Baxter Creek Watershed Alliance
Our Vision... People living and working in Cavan-Monaghan and the Baxter Creek area, caring for a clean and healthy watershed.
A "Watershed": What is it?
A watershed (also named catchment or drainage basin) is the area of land which water falls that all drains to one common source (in Baxter Creek's case, the Otonabee River). Rainfall and snowfall accumulates travelling down creeks, streams and rivers to larger bodies of waters such as lakes, and bays in Ontario (NOAA, 2021).
