where i am from

I am from Puyallup Washington. I have lived here my whole life and it's a quickly-growing town that I enjoy. One of its main attractions is the Washington state fair. I have gone a few times with friends and family and it was nice.

San Sebastian spain

An interesting place I have been to a few times is San Sebastian Spain, I have visited here a few times because this is near where my girlfriend lives. It was an amazing town where I got to try many new foods and swim in crystal-clear water. my favorite part was the old amusement park on top of the mountain where this picture was taken.

relative direction

in the textbook, relative location is described as " culturally based and locationally variable." An example I can think of is when referring to the gold mines back in the day in California, prospectors referred to the mining towns being "out west" According to " What is the Difference Between An Absolute and A Relative Location? - WorldAtlas " describes relative location as "relative location refers to a particular place in reference to another point, place, or landmark. When describing the relative location of St. Louis, Missouri, one can describe that it is located in eastern Missouri." This applies to the book's definition because it follows the pattern it describes. But relative location can be different depending on where you are. someone from Canada might see the U.S. as the south but someone from Mexico might see the U.S. as the north.

how the term is important to me

the term is important to me because I use relative location quite often. When I get back from traveling and I am talking to family, I will use terms such as north of a country or south so that they can have a more accurate idea of what I am talking about. An example of this is when I visited my girlfriend I told my family she lives in the north of Spain. Another is when we traveled to Madrid, and I told my family I was south of the location I had visited previously.
