The first Black’s BBQ opened its doors in 1932 as a meat market. With an age of almost 100 its no wonder people flock to Lockhart for BBQ. However, It wasn’t until a a full-fledged BBQ restaurant until the younger Edgar Black Jr. became a pitmaster and transformed the market. Known for its country hospitality and mouth watering sides and deserts the warm service coupled with the juicy brisket looks to be a vibe in itself, a must try in Central Texas.

Often confused for a coffee shop this restaurant has two of the best pitmasters in Texas with Ernest Servantes & Dave Kirkland.
