Tustin Garage

Opened in 1915, the Tustin Garage welcomed automobile travelers along Old Historic Highway 1, traveling between Los Angeles and San Diego. However, with the construction on the 5 freeway in 1955, many Old Town Tustin businesses, especially the automotive businesses, closed down due to travelers now being able to bypass Tustin.

With the large influx of residents years after the construction of the 5 freeway, the Tustin Garage saw a renaissance due to the large single family home developments within the city.
