European Green Deal
The European Green Deal (EGD) is an action plan with a wide range of policy initiatives by the European Commission with the aim of making the European Union the first climate-neutral continent. The EGD consist in nine major policy areas presented below

New European Bauhaus
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) aims to bring about a cultural and aesthetic dimension to the European green deal, particularly with regard to the built environment. The focus of this initiative is to support the effort of the EU Green Deal and Climate Agenda with tangible experiences, founded on Aesthetics, Sustainability and Inclusion. The main idea behind the initiative is that the transition to a sustainable society is also a cultural shift based on empathy, compassion, creativity and shifting paradigms. Art and culture will play a key role in aiding this transition. The NEB achieves this by creating frameworks for a wide variety of built projects to guide change makers in reflecting this idea, through the New European Bauhaus Compass (NEBC).
New European Bauhaus Compass
The New European Bauhaus Compass is described as a ‘guiding framework’ applying the NEB principles and criteria.
