2016 - First successful seine on Upper Prior Lake removes nearly 2 tons of carp.

2016 - 150 carp are tagged with PIT tags to assess how carp are moving between lakes and adjoining wetlands.

2017 - Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPM) for Common Carp lays out plan to reduce the common carp population in the District.

2017 - $18,156 DNR grant

2017 - Successful seine removed 17 tons of carp from Spring Lake. Carp barriers installed to block access to spawning grounds.

2018 - Successful seine removed 17 tons of carp from Upper Prior Lake.

2019 - Spring seine removed 3 tons of carp from Upper Prior Lake and 2 tons removed via electrofishing efforts near the Arctic Lake outlet.

2020 - Several new techniques tested including baited box traps (3.8 tons removed from Spring Lake), push traps, and targeted removals.

2021 - Winter seines removed 3.75 tons of carp from Spring Lake and 2.5 tons from Upper Prior Lake.

2021 - Springtime electrofishing and box netting efforts removed 4.3 tons of carp from Upper Prior Lake, and .37 tons (1400 lbs!) from Spring Lake.
