Explore Rockwater Park

Located on 32-acres of rolling hills off Madison Road in-between the Southgate and Meadowbrook shopping centers, Rockwater park offers 1.7 miles of multi-use trails, public parking and bathrooms, a large pavilion, splash pad, a climbing boulder, Fitcore Extreme obstacle course, children's playground, and a disc golf course.

A trio of nonprofit community foundations, including Culpeper Wellness Foundation, provided most of the funding for the Fitcore obstacle course, 40-yard dash track, and climbing boulder for this public-private partnership.

The splash pad boasts 13 in-ground sprayers that will run sunrise to sunset, seasonally.

Splash Pad will be closed for the season on November 1, 2024

1.7 miles of handicap-accessible, paved walking trails, including a lower connector trail to Sunset Lane.

The children's playground was built by the Town of Culpeper in partnership with the Culpeper Wellness Foundation in 2021. With over 20 activities, this playground was designed to address developmentally-appropriate skills for young children.

As the park grows and develops over time, the Rockwater Park Master Plan envisions additional amenities. The Town is currently accepting donations/sponsorships for trees, benches, and dog litter bag disposal stations. Please contact Town Planning and Community Development for more information.

Take Rt. 29 to Culpeper, exit onto BUS 29 N/Madison Hwy, park entrance is 1 mile on right.
