I hope to go swimming with turtles if I visit Hawaii.
Personal connection
I love the beach so much. It's the place that can always clear my mind and help me relax. I especially love swimming. Ever since I was a baby I would always want to go swimming in the ocean. My parents said they would take me out far in the ocean and we would swim and float where the waves didn't crash. Since I love the beach so much I hope to go to Hawaii one day and swim in the clear, turquoise waters.

Music/Culture/Art
Music
Hawaii is famous for its native Hawaiian folk music, modern rock, and hip hop. The most famous Hawaiian singer is Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. He is known for "his fresh groundbreaking style that helped bring Hawaiian sound back to the mainstream." He recorded his version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" in 1988 in one take and it was incredibly popular.
Here are some pictures of IZ.
As you can see from the map below Israel Kamakawiwo'ole is buried in the Hawaii State Capitol Building.

Culture
Some important parts of Hawaii's culture are hula dancing, surfing, luaus, and their language. Hula dancing is important because it is a way to show respect for gods and goddesses of Hawaii. Surfing has played an important role in shaping Hawaii's identity. The beaches of Hawaii are very popular destinations for surfers worldwide. During luaus there is entertainment like live music, hula dancing, lei making, Samoan fire knife dancing, imu ceremonies, storytelling, a buffet dinner, and many more important and celebratory parts of Hawaii's culture. Their language is incredibly important because it honors their kūpuna (ancestors).
Here a images of hula dancing, surfing in Hawaii, and a Luau.
On the map below there are 3 of the most popular surf spots in Hawaii.
Although all of these surfing points are near each other, they are all known for different types of waves.

Art
Hawaii is famous for its lovely floral leis, tattoos, and more. If you don't know what lovely floral leis are, it's those pretty flower chains that people wear around their neck and head. They are important because they are a symbol of Aloha, a term embodying love, peace, and compassion. Tattoos are important because they guard Hawaiians health and spiritual well-being
Here are 2 airports in Hawaii that hand out/sell leis.
As you can see from above they are given out at Daniel K Inouye Intl Airport and Aunty's Leis & Little Things a stand outside of the airport.
Food/Agriculture

Hawaii is also known for their agriculture. Farmland covers close to 40% of Hawaii, and contains some 5,700 farms. Hawaii produces a long list of crops including macadamia nuts, sugarcane, pineapple, papaya, and specialty tropical fruits. Hawaii is also the only state in the nation to grow coffee.
