Overview

Established in 2025, ReGrow Volusia is a community-driven initiative to improve the tree canopy of  Volusia County, Florida . The program includes diverse planting projects, grant opportunities, educational programs, and volunteer events.

Trees provide social, environmental, and economic benefits to the community. Not only do trees increase property values, lower energy costs, provide oxygen and numerous health benefits, they are an important part of  green infrastructure . Adding trees to the landscape is a cost-effective, resilient approach to managing weather impacts, including stormwater runoff and flooding.

Projects

County-led planting projects are funded through the Volusia County Tree Replacement Trust Account, which is a depository for tree replacement fees from development.

Project locations include areas open and accessible to the public (bike trails, scenic highways, parks), and other public land (stormwater ponds and conservation areas).
