California's Groundwater Live: Land Subsidence
California Department of Water Resources
This story map contains information about land subsidence in California, including two datasets showing land elevation change: a collection of continuous global positioning system (CGPS) stations and DWR's Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR). Click on the links in the banner above to explore the interactive and user-friendly dashboards, that detail current land subsidence in California. Continuous GPS Stations
Below is a dashboard designed to allow users to explore vertical displacement rates at continuous GPS stations throughout California. Stations are shown on the map by total vertical displacement with blue and green representing little to no displacement and orange and red representing more than 4 feet of displacement. The dashboard includes an interactive map, time-series chart, station summary list, and indicator for the selected extent.

InSAR Land Subsidence Data
Vertical displacement estimates are derived from Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) data. Below is a dashboard designed to allow users to explore vertical ground surface displacement throughout California, based on water year.
