The History of Football
The first football game was play on November 6, 1869
The first ever game of American Football was played on November 7, 1869 and the rules were closer to rugby and soccer than the modern day football. In 1880 a man by the name Walter Camp started to make the new rules such as; line of scrimmage, eleven players, forward passing, neutral zone, and the shape of the ball.

Over many of years football grew into a sport that represents America. Football has evolved from two teams playing into a 32 team sport that has expanded all of the US and is well known in other countries as well.
