The State of Waccamaw NWR's Coastal Wetlands
Using long-term monitoring of surface elevation and remote sensing to understand coastal wetland transformation
The coastal wetlands of the Waccamaw River watershed are being transformed by climate change and sea-level rise. Assessing the status of these coastal wetlands will help us better understand where conservation actions can best resist, accept, and direct ecological transformation.
