Bennett Park

Bennett Park was established in 1961 and encompasses 45-acres and includes a range of amentities, including the City's skate park.

Jefferson/Cates Creek Park

Jefferson Park was developed in 2022 with the existing Cates Creek Trail and the addition of a gaga ball pit and new playground. The playground was built in partnership between Liberty Parks & Rec and the Liberty Kiwanis club in continuing the mission of "Creating Community Connections" for a prosperous and healthy community. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

Ruth Ewing Park

Ruth Ewing Park is an 18-acre linear neighborhood park that lies within the Clay Brooke/Clay Ridge Subdivision.

City Park

City Park was established as Liberty's first park in 1949. It encompasses 10-acres in the heart of Liberty. City Park was rejuventated in 2021 with additional parking, adding a shelter, a new sprayground and several inclusive play features.

Northwyck Park is a 16-acre park with a playground and short trail that are well used by neighborhood residents.

Place Liberte Park

Place Liberte' was established in 1985 and is a 2-acre neighborhood park northwest of I-35.

Ruth Moore Park

Ruth Moore Park is named after Liberty's Park Board Chair in 1954. It covers 9-acres and lies just a few blocks from Historic Downtown Liberty. It features a Community Garden, Sprayground and the Anderson Memorial Dog Park.

Stocksdale Park

Stocksdale Park was established in 1974 and covers 112-acres of the eastern edge of Liberty. It provides a wide range of amentities, including conservation areas of prairie and forest, one of the region's most extensive mountain bike trails and Liberty's very popular Dog Park.

Westboro/Canterbury Park

The land for Westboro/Canterbury Park was acquired in 1968. Westboro/Canterbury Park covers 42-acres and includes one of Liberty's most utilizied asphalt trails and eight pickleball courts that were built in 2019.

This Park Features:

Wilshire Park

The land for Wilshire Park was acquired in 1968 for $1 through the open space ordinance. Wilshire Park is a 12-acre linear neighborhood park of Wilshire Blvd.

Cameron's Trail of Trees - Stocksdale Park

Located in the beautiful countryside of Stocksdale Park, Cameron's Trail of Trees, was an Eagle Scout Project completed by David Stark of Troop 374. This project was dedicated in loving memory of Liberty Parks & Rec's Cameron Leeds. Cameron was an Eagle Scout, an aborist and passionate about tree education.

Capitol Federal® Sports Complex of Liberty

Capitol Federal® Sports Complex opened in June 2002 as Fountain Bluff Sports Complex and was financed by the Liberty 2000 and Liberty 2010 Capital Improvements program. It is the first public baseball/softball turf facility in the Kansas City metropolitan area. This multi-million dollar facility, already a popular venue for Liberty Parks & Rec (LPR), youth/adult leagues and tournaments, traditionally brings 200,000+ visitors to Liberty each year to its 146-acre site.

Stocksdale Dog Park

The Liberty Dog Park includes three acres of fully fenced area for dogs to enjoy as well as a 5,400 square foot section dedicated to more diminutive canines. The Liberty Dog Park is located within Stocksdale Park on the east side of Liberty. Admission is free, but users must abide by established  Rules and Regulations .

Anderson Dog Park

Anderson Dog Park is dedicated to Denny and Betty Lou Anderson who were a huge part of the City of Liberty and even ran their own pet-sitting service. They were involved with Historic Downtown Liberty and the Boy Scouts.

Bad Rock Creek Disc Golf Course

Bad Rock Creek Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole course at Stocksdale Park in Liberty. Following the "Tee It Forward" philosophy, this course was designed for players of all skill levels (beginner, advanced & pro). Through the placement of alternate tee pads and additional baskets, Bad Rock Creek combines three courses - red, blue & gold - into one 18-hole layout.

Bennett Park Disc Golf Course

This 9-hole course was a collaborative effort between citizens and Liberty Parks & Rec to create a smaller course, encouraging beginners to play disc golf. We received feedback from the community asking for more visibility (cleared vegetation and brush) throughout Bennett Park and more activities to utilize the space.

Community Garden

The Ruth Moore Park Community Garden is .5 acres located in the heart of Liberty that serves as a place to grow food, natural herbs and flowers in the company of friends and neighbors. The garden provides an opportunity to reconnect with nature or get physical exercise while tending to the growing plants. There are 8 raised beds and a 9 tree orchard. The garden and orchard are open to the public from dusk to dawn each day. Plots are available for rent and scholarships are available.

Currently offers up to (14) four-by-six food plots (half plot) Gardeners have the option to rent a half (4'x6') or double (4'x12') plot Current rental fees are $25 for a single plot and $45 for a double plot annually Gardeners' plant and harvet for their own purposes Water is provided
