"The City of Churches"

The City of Campbell, located just outside of Youngstown, used to be the home of many churches, let's take a look at the remaining churches.

Bible Baptist Temple

A Baptist Bible Fellow International church that is still operating today, holding weekly mass on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.

St. Elizabeth Parish Slovak

A Roman Catholic church. Once upon a time, it was known as the "Slovak" catholic church, as well as affiliated with St. Elizabeth elementary school. The school and church are both now closed, and the church has merged with other churches on this tour.

Marion Heights United Methodist Church

A United Methodist parish that is no longer open, permanently closed.

First Baptist Church of Campbell.

Baptist parish that now goes by "Christ Community Church" after a merge in churches amongst the Baptist religion. The church is still in use and only open Sunday for mass.

St. Joseph the Provider

Was formerly a Roman Catholic church and elementary school. The school and church relocated to St. Anthony's, on the north side of Youngstown. Now owned by a heating and cooling company.

St. John The Baptist Church

An Orthodox church that is still open and holds weekly mass every Saturday and Sunday morning.

St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church

A Byzantine Catholic church, open daily, while having mass every Saturday and Sunday. The banquet hall is popular for spaghetti dinners, fundraisers for Campbell local schools, as well as a fish fry every Friday, throughout Lent.

Shiloh Baptist Church

An American Baptist church, that is still open currently, hosting mass every Sunday morning.

Amazing Grace Afm Church of God

Apart of the Church of God religion. There is no sufficient information available to determine if it is currently open or closed.

St. John the Baptist Parish Slovak

A Roman Catholic church that used to also be referred "Slovak parish" for Catholics. This has become the only active Roman Catholic Church in Campbell for weekly mass. This was a part of a merge in churches with St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph the Provider, and St. Lucy.

Greater Liberty Baptist Church

A Baptist church that is buried on a hill of the city, surrounded by woods. The church is no longer offering weekly masses.

True Vine Ministry

A Non-Denominational church that is tucked away on the side of a hill, hiding behind recycling site and a neighborhood. There's no available information on this church's open/closed status.

The Gospel Temple Baptist Church

A Baptist church that remains open for mass every Sunday morning through afternoon.

St. Lucy Parish

A Roman Catholic church that is still open for use and prayer, but not for weekly mass. Its masses are held at St. John the Baptist Parish, a part of the merge with St. John, St. Joseph, and St. Elizabeth. The banquet center has been known to host spaghetti dinners, fundraisers, and has become the poll location for voters, during political elections.

Archangel Michael Church

A Greek Orthodox parish that is still thriving, open weekly for mass, as Campbell has a strong Greek heritage. The banquet hall associated with this parish is popular for hosting weddings, graduation parties, etc.
