How to use the story map

This story map has been developed to provide an intuitive and interactive experience for the user. Simply navigate the site by scrolling down through each section to experience the story in full.

At the top of the page, a navigation bar allows the user to quickly jump between sections presented in the story map as an alternative to scrolling. The navigation bar is visible at all times while scrolling down through the story map.

Map sections on this website are all interactive, meaning you can zoom in and out and pan around in the map window. Some elements in the maps may also provide the option of clicking on them for more information - note that not all map elements have this option.

Tools in the map window include:

• Option to maximise the map window to full screen for a more in depth look at the map and the elements shown herein.

• Option to zoom in and out.

• Option to maximise and minimise the legend. The legend outlines what each of the symbols shown in the map represents.
