Meet Dr. Vanessa Bézy

Dr. Vanessa Bezy is a sea turtle marine biologist and conservationist in Costa Rica. 

Her research involves state of the art technology and innovative practices, such as 3D modeling and aerial drone surveys.

These technology tools help her answer important questions in conservation and create educational outreach tools for students and the public throughout the world.

Currently, Dr. Bezy is working in Costa Rica with the Ostional National Wildlife Refuge.

At the refuge, she is able to conduct and promote scientific research.

Vanessa uses TurtleCams to learn about sea turtle behavior.

She is a National Geographic Explorer and was recently selected to participate in National Geographic’s Early Career Leadership Program.
