Dear Friends,

Thank you for supporting the critical work we do at Archbold. Because of your help, we are able to collect critical data and build knowledge needed to support more informed decisions for Florida, and the rest of the world. As our world changes and evolves, especially as we deal with global crisis, we remember a basic principle: Nature provides.

Nature provides peace and serenity, it provides life and activity. Nature provides beauty and tranquility. Nature, also, provides turbulence and fury. For Archbold: Nature provides answers—answers to often the most intractable questions.

For some of us, fortunate to have a little more time for reflection, our senses are heightened as we draw to Nature: Nature in an urban tree, a suburban garden, or a rural backyard. Nature that was always there and is now liberated for us by less noise and fewer disturbances. Around the world, there is an outpouring of observations of Nature, people connecting over their enjoyment in identifying species, recording nests, flowering times, animal behaviors, clear skies, and so much more.

The simple reward of watching, the quest for knowledge, and caring about all that is happening in one small place, special to you. This is Archbold’s daily creed. 

We thank you for your support in 2019, for the passion you have for our work, and your care of Nature. Together, we will win the fight to preserve and protect all that is important to us.
