The Spring Native Plant Sale and Sustainability Fair offers a wide variety of native and adapted plants, including: perennials, grasses, shrubs, trees, and organic vegetables and herbs. Knowledgeable staff are available to assist with plant questions. Local organizations will be onsite for the accompanying Sustainability Fair to discuss environmental efforts and how you can get involved in sustainability initiatives.
Parking Information and Alternative Transportation
Free public parking is available at the areas highlighted in blue below.
Spin Scooters
To help ease parking issues, the City will be placing SPIN scooters at the San Marcos Activity Center. All you need to do is park your car in the lot, access a scooter, and then safely cross Hopkins Street over to Riverside Drive at the crosswalk light. Once you are finished shopping and enjoying the Fair, staff will set aside your purchased plants so that you can ride back to the Activity Center to get your vehicle and then do a plant pick up. See the graphics below to know the Spin Scooter rules and get set up with the app so that you are ready to go before the event!
We recommend you bring your own cart to haul plants, if possible. We will have limited carts available. There will be holding area for your plants after you purchase them so you can stay and enjoy the Fair. Staff will be available to assist with loading plants into your vehicle at our pickup location.
