2020 Miller Lake Fisheries Survey
A fisheries survey was performed on Miller Lake on 10/29/2020 and 10/30/2020.

Four trap nets were deployed in Miller Lake on 10/29/2020 and processed on 10/30/2020. The survey was completed to get a snapshot of the fish community in Miller Lake, determine if rough fish dominate the fish community, and compare the current fish community with past surveys. The last survey performed in Miller Lake was in 2006.
Miller Lake Trap Net Locations
A total of 13 species were sampled, bluegill being the most abundant species. largemouth bass was the second most abundant species, followed by yellow bullhead. A bigmouth buffalo was the largest fish sampled measuring 20 inches and weighing 4.59 pounds.

Survey disclaimer* This survey was performed outside ideal conditions for performing a trap net fisheries survey. Another fisheries survey will be performed in 2023 to get a more accurate snapshot of the Miller Lake Fisheries community.
Overall, small fish dominated the survey, with only one fish exceeding 9 inches.
