This year I travelled across diverse and varied landscape in the Himalayas. From Gorakh sub Himalays to Mahalangur sub Himalayas each month.

Sikles Village

Sikles village and Annapurna and Lamjung Himal in backdrop. The village is home to a large Gurung community, the village is located at an altitude of approximately 1,800 meters (5,905 ft) above sea level, and is accessible by road from the nearby town of Pokhara.

Annapurna Range

Annapurna range from Machhapuchhre Model trek. The trek can be completed in 4-5 days and typically involves moderate to challenging levels of hiking each day.

Murma Top

View of Kanjirowa sub Himalayas and Rara Lake from Murma view point, Mugu. It is the largest and deepest freshwater lake in Nepal, and is located at an altitude of 2,990 meters (9,810 ft) above sea level.

Royal Bengal Tiger

Bengal Tiger in Bardiya national park. The Royal Bengal Tiger is listed as an endangered species, and efforts are being made to conserve and protect these animals in Nepal and throughout their range. Conservation efforts in Nepal include habitat protection and restoration, as well as efforts to reduce conflict between humans and tigers.

The Mountain of Spirit

Golden hour in Mt. Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain from Lho, Nubri valley. The Manaslu sunrise is best experienced during the clear and the dry season, which typically falls between September and November and between March and May.

Gokyo Ri

View of second and Third Lake in Gokyo valley by the side of Ngozumpa glacier and Mt. Cholatse above. This view point has panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers, including the Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse, and Nuptse peaks. The sunrise and sunset views from Gokyo Ri are particularly spectacular, and the area is known for its clear, dry weather, which makes it an ideal location for photography.

Cloudy Ridge of Bajura

Dramatic clouds above the ridge of hills of Bajura on the way to Badimalika shrine. The landscape around Badimalika is characterized by rolling hills, forests, and streams.

Kingdom of Lo

Naked barley and Buckwheat fields of Lomanthang, Upper Mustang. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 3,700 meters (12,139 ft) above sea level, and is home to a number of traditional Tibetan-style houses and monasteries. Lomanthang is referred as the "walled city" due to the presence of a wall that surrounds the village. The wall was built for defensive purposes and is made of mud and stone. It is built in the 15th century.

Lomanthang

Buckwheat and Naked barley fields of Upper Mustang. Buckwheat and barley are important crops in the Lomanthang region and are commonly grown by local farmers. These grains are used in a variety of traditional Tibetan and Nepali dishes, including tsampa (roasted barley flour), momo (dumplings), and various types of bread and porridge. They are also used to make traditional Tibetan beverages such as chang (barley beer) and torma (a type of butter tea).

After Sunset

After sunset colours from Mohare Danda, Myagdi. he ridge is located at an altitude of approximately 3,330 meters (10,925 ft) above sea level and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Annapurna mountain range and the Dhaulagiri massif.

Rolwaling Mountains

After sunset in Rolwaling mountains from Dolakha. Rolwaling is home to a number of peaks, including Gaurishankar 7,134 meters (23,405 ft), Rolwaling Lho 6,973 meters (22,849 ft), and Yalung Ri 6,780 meters (22,248 ft).
