Vogel Medical Campus
Narrative
Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health (RWJBH) has purchased property in Tinton Falls from the Fort Monmouth Economic Redevelopment Authority (FMERA) located at Corregidor Rd. and Pearl Harbor Ave. to be the home of the Vogel Medical Campus at Tinton Falls. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2023 and was made possible by a $50 million gift from Sheldon Vogel to memorialize his wife, the late Anne Vogel. The 36-acre parcel is the former home of the Myer Center (known as the hexagon building or the “hex”) and the Night Vision Lab. The Monmouth Medical Center is expected to spend upwards of $650 million to build this new campus. Phase one of their plan includes a roughly 138,000 sq.ft. Cancer Center and Ambulatory Care Pavilion which is projected to create around 300 jobs and following the completion of phase two should total 1,000 total jobs added. Monmouth Medical Center is the largest medical facility in Monmouth and Ocean counties and looks to further their mission to “ensure high quality care now and for generations to come.” Source: RWJBH , APP
