Collision Analytics

Safe Streets Pinellas is a Vision Zero effort.

Vision Zero is a safety strategy employed by communities across the country and the world with the fundamental concept that no one should be killed or seriously injured while using our roadways.

Throughout the course of Safe Streets Pinellas, we will be working with a diverse set of stakeholders in the community to develop a Safe Streets Action Plan that will guide the implementation of safety projects throughout Pinellas County as we strive towards zero. The focus of the Vision Zero effort is to eliminate KSI (killed and severely injured) collisions, as the loss of life and long-term disabilities from severe injury crashes exacts a high toll extending beyond the personal loss, to deep community impacts, including personal economic costs, taxpayer spending on emergency services, and long-term health costs.

Data helps us to understand the collisions in Pinellas County, but it only tells a piece of the picture.

Take a look at the feedback shared by community members from the interactive Crowdsource Map.

Forward Pinellas hosted an interactive Crowdsource Map to collect community input where problems or unsafe areas were experienced. This community input was reviewed and considered in the generation of the aforementioned Action Plan. We appreciate your input.
