Introduction:
John Sims, an accomplished artist and activist, is known for his profound contributions to the world of art and his unwavering commitment to social change. Early Life and Education:
John Sims was born in 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in a racially divided city during a very divided period of American history. Sims' early experiences witnessing racial inequality greatly influenced his later artistic endeavors. He recognized the power of art as a medium for expressing societal concerns and meaningful topics.
He pursued his education at the University of Michigan, where he studied mathematics and visual arts. This allowed him to approach art with a unique perspective, blending aesthetic elements with mathematical concepts, symbolism, and social commentary. He died in 2021 from natural causes.

Mathematics:
He is also famous for converting pi into musical notes to compose a song. He also used alot of math especially pie to create perfect shapes such as circles in his art. He also used mathematical patterns in his art.
